We were there last year at this time... 2 decent days.... rest of the week was really cold...
Enjoy your week Marc!If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

Not to be "debbie downer" but, I heard from someone through the Gatineau Public Works dept that the frost in Aylmer (rue Principale) goes down to 2.1 meters!!! That's nearly 7 feet! Going to be a long and slow spring my friends.

April 27th first game at Upper Canada last year, Prescott 2or 3 weeks before that

Arnprior area has the same, if not deeper frost line. My brother's company is working on digging for an underground garage, and they've had to inject warm salt water to aid with the excavation.
Can't see us starting before late April, unless of course this weather warms up significantly over the next week, and STAYS warm for April...

I leave for Myrtle Beach in 18 days, I can't wait. This winter sucks.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

It is what it is, we can only hope it melts quickly once it starts. Hopefully the local courses will be aggressively promoting their courses and we golfers will be happy to take their promotions. Starting the car this morning in -19° temperature made me think that if I was a golf course owner I would be doing everything I can right now to get golfers to come to my course since this will be a very very short season. Don't wait, get your promotion hats on!!!

This is clearly the fault of all of those golfers who went out and played this same week in March of 2012 in 27° of beautiful sunshine. I did not mean this to happen

We may get lucky and things will thaw quickly south of us, like Syracuse but this picture shows that they still have a fair amount of snow.

I was actually looking at some old pictures last night and went through the winter of 2008 folder.
To put things in perspective, at this date in 2008, my shed in my back yard still had about 5 feet of snow on it's roof! Granted 2008 was just a few centimeters short of an all time record for snow, but it makes me feel somewhat better about this year. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

I wonder if they'll be open soon down there? I don't think NYC has had the same sort of crap as we have here....
