I have an IPAd 1 and 2 and a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. I hope they will be releasing it for These other devices soon. I will " not" go out and buy an IPad 4 just for the Swingbyte!

I fear they found the grunt required only matched Ipad 4. I am amazed they got the system to work on Ipad anyway.
Sure the android holdup has got something to do with too many different devices and android versions. Perhaps they can just get it to work with Galaxy Note3!!
If it linked with 2nd cam on wifi like Sony actioncam and a swing plate and was accurate...and integrated with GC2. ...and the hdmi output still worked.....am I asking too much

CPA, are you sure this "target line fix" will resolve the issue around the shaft plane throughout the swing being dependent on shaft lean at address. To recap, the more the shaft lean at address (hands closer to target than club head - as in Mciroy), the more SB says the shaft is pointing right of target at the top (for righty). I have verified this with video.
I'll begrudgingly trade my Ipad 2 if the update fixes this issue.

Hold Golf until fully tested. I enquired from Swingbyte about the Target line only for IPad 4 and they sent me a Beta app for android. The beta app is aweful so far. Keeps on crashing and locking so no testing 4 me until another stable app comes out. To be quite frank with you, I probably wont really use the Swinbyte as I am very confident in my ProTee numbers. Just wanted to test and maybe take to the range to play with it.

The SB/Skypro devices ability to instantaneously check shaft planes through the swing is a big attraction for me when working like a demon on my swing. But the way they are at present isn't satisfactory.

Given the SB app is free can't you beg borrow steal an ipad4 to try it out before making $commitment to ipad4? Can simply delete it after use.

Not me I'm afraid. Do you have an IPAD 4 to try CPA? Android beta is very finicky?

I was thinking it was necessary to satisfy yourself.
Given no one but my wife has ipad4 I will install the new app after deleting the beta.
Will tape out the targetline, square clubface and vertical pole and use my casino cam with 1000 fps to try and test.
May take me more than 30 seconds. I have to steal the ipad4.

Do it also in conjunction with the GC2. I plan on testing mine in conjunction with the ProTee and if I get a chance the Trackman at our club.

Have you guys done any comparisons/testing (GC2, ITR etc), and what were the results?

So what is the latest on this device with the updates software, etc. for those using it?
I read other sites that say it is great and everything works perfectly - and others that say the Swingbyte 2.0 doesn't stay attached to their clubs without rotating, the clubhead speed is way off, the program crashes or just doesn't work, the USB cover/alignment cap breaks off every swing or two, etc. The swing analysis and sync with video seems very cool. I would like to get it to groove my swing a little better (and help analyze my son's swing), but if it has all those problems, it doesn't seem worth it.

Here's a review:
http://www.golfwrx.com/108418/swingb...alyzer-review/
Based on it, seems like the concerns have been addressed. Also, for the money... what is going to better it?
A comparison review:

I know that it's on my wish list.

Mmmmm how do they say swingsmart is the winner when it does not produce club path numbers?
Since then swing byte has target line. Yes I will try and find time to test soon.....

CPA:
When did Swingbyte get the target line issue resolved. I have it loaded on my Android based tablet and have never noticed anything updated to obtain a more accurate alignment of face at address to target line using it.Engineered Golf - Frank Hann 3.8 GHIN

The side by side view of your 3D swing and the actual video of your swing is to me, what gives the edge to Swingbyte. It really helps in making sure that your club is on plane going back and coming into impact.

I can tell you first hand... The attachment devices sucks. But it's not a horrible thing to check the alignment and adjust a little after each shot. For the money, you're not going to get anything anywhere that gives you that kind of data. Even with the flawed clamp, it's still a good device. Take it from a GC2 owner. 150 for a swingbyte, or 6k for a HMT fits my GC2 - I'm sticking with the SB.

I have just purchased one of these and echo everyone's thoughts on the club attachment and build quality.
It really does baffle me why they spend so much time developing a great product and software to then produce such a cheap piece of crap. I mean it twists every time you take a shot and the USB cover pops off. It is very cheaply made and reeks of cheapness when you hold it in your hand.
Why why why not just put an extra $50 on the price and enhance the product quality!
I have managed to reduce the amount of twist by really forcing the unit to sit flush against the grip.
That said it is still a useful too to check your swing path. I will continue to use it but it is frustratingly poor quality.
Software however is 10 out of 10!

Not much luck with this device
I have owned a Swingbyte 2 for about 9 months. Rubber latch ripped after about 50 swings, customer service was good about sending a replacement. After 250 swings the part of the plastic body that holds the latch snapped as I hit a ball. Great app very poor hardware, lesson learned.

The design of the latch and mounting is flawed. It shifts, twist after a few hits. Tried to hold it down by sticking grip tape around the area where it mounts .... that helps a little.
Good aps and device but POS design.
