I hit the Tour Rocketbladez at golftown (7 and 8 irons) and found the 7 to feel alright, but the 8 iron felt really harsh, like I was hitting a rock. Would like to know why Taylormade didn't put the insert into the 8-W or adjust them somehow to make them feel softer like the longer irons.
Even I've never heard of me

I guess everyone has their take. I spent a few hours at Dick's in florida hitting every iron, even took my old irons in and tested them against the Tour's and I was getting an average of 10-12 yards more with the Tour's and I loved the feel. Almost felt like my old blades but with lots more distance. Overall I was sold right there, and it's not like my old irons were no good, I also loved my old ones... so I guess it depends on the golfer!

Nice Seb, you must be hitting the new 8 iron at least 110 now.

putting the woods back in the bag. Never bonded with the 3 metal I had, and the shaft was snapped in an "accident" last year anyhow. Working on getting the old driver repaired.

Mad retro, looks like a vintage compilation from the early 80's with some of my favourite stars.

Bang on. Irons are '83 Haigs, woods I think are the same model, but were bought separately. Putter's a Haig from the same era, very similar to the classic Wilsons of the day.

The Royal V-Sand Wrap grip experiment lasted 2 rounds, I hated them. The sand wrap almost wears your skin off, they are brutal. My hands hurt for days after playing these grips, these grips are about 10 times rougher than Gof Pride ND Mulicompund cord grips. I cut them off after 2 rounds and have replaced them with Pure Pro Mid-size grips and they are the best grips I have ever used.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

I'll post a pic tonight - bag is ready to go:
Driver - Ping I15 9* Axivcore Red
3wood - Callaway Diabloe Octane Tour (shaft change comeing for that one)
5wood - Taylor Made R11 TP
Hybrid - Taylor Made Rescue Mid 19*
4 - PW - Mizuno MP-53
52* - Callaway C-Grind
58* - Callaway C-Grind
Putter - Ping Redwood ZB
I switched to the 52/58 wedge set-up this year to put the wood back in the bag. I seem to be hitting the 58* for eveything - lol. The grooves are getting to the end of their days, so I may replace them with RTG's before the season is over.If you're gonna walk on thin ice, ya might as well dance.

I've only been golfing for a few years and being a single 20 something year old, this game isn't cheap. So I have built what I call a 'sale rack special'. None of the clubs are current, however, my skill level wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the Rocketballz and Rocketballz stage 2... Although, I kind of want to go big and get a Scotty... and I blame every single one of you for that.
That being said my lineup:
Driver: Taylormade Burner Superfast 2.0 9.5* stock Stiff Matrix Ozik shaft - Black and white Golf Pride multi compound grip
3 Wood: Adams Speedline LP stock Matrix Radix 5.1 shaft - stock grip (soon to be a Black and white Golf Pride multi-compound)
5 Wood: Dunlop Powerlift stock Accudyne shaft - Golfpride mid sized Softie grip
4 - AW: Taylormade R9 stock KBS stiff shafts - white Black Widow tour silk grips
56*: Nike VR Wedge stock True Temper Dynamic Gold shaft white Black Widow tour silk grip
60*: Nike VR Wedge stock True Temper Dynamic Gold shaft white Black Widow tour silk grip
Putter: Nike E-33 Everclear Putter
3 wheel Maxfli pushcart

Haven't received my X Forged yet either, hopefully this week. So they are not officially in the bag yet. Let us know how you like the Callaway utility irons John. I was considering those as well but haven't been able to demo any.

Hey CptHook - how are you liking the VR wedges? I just changed my C-Grinds out and put them in tonight...no play as of yet.
