Projector on the ground?
Hey everyone...been reading and planning for a month or two and it's about time to join the sim world. Getting ideas and had a question please. Has anyone set up a sim on a platform or use a 'wedge' with the projector on the ground? I know some of the models from TruGolf(?) have that but was wondering if anyone has done it DIY. If so, how's it working, is the picture degraded any going through the plexiglass or any issues/concerns. Thanks!

I use a short throw projector and have it in front of my hitting platform. It's only about 6 feet or so back from the screen so I did make a lexan shield for the lens just in case. You don't see any distortion by setting the lexan in front and projecting through it. Ideal may be to have the projector under the hitting area and protected but you also get a lot of heat off these projectors so you need air flow to keep it cool. Keep the lexan cover fairly tight to the lens as well so that you don't get glare back at you. I angled mine slightly.
