What holes won the skins anyways? We peeled out of there pretty quickly. Thanks again to all the volunteers/rules officials who helped me track down 50 yard blocks all weekend!!!!

What a well organized tournament! First class all the way. We stayed the night at the Glenhouse by the water and it is so relaxing. I loved the beds. Prime rib and cheesecake were delish.
As for golf, this sums up my weekend

Tournament was run really well. Lots of nice folks there. Really grateful to all the rules officials (gbower and LobWedge) and volunteers like the spotters.
I thought the scores were going to be much better today after yesterday's round but it seems like people had a good amount of trouble in general including myself.

You sure have to be on top of all parts of your game at this course. Unfortunitly i was not, i played really well in stretches but also very poorly in spots that lead to some big number. But with each real tournament i feel i learn alot about playing this game. The guys at Smugglers and Flagstick sure run a top notch event. From the moment you get there you are feel you are are at a great event and treated that way by everyone involved.
Having Gbower and lobwedge there as officials is great, really enjoyed my conversation with them on saturday night! (not so much during my round! lol) getting a chance to hear there perspective on these type of events and golf in generalfrom a slightly diffrent view being rules officials is allways enlightening and entertaining. These guys really are there to help us as much as possible.
A big thanks to the spotters for helping find wayward balls. Wish they would follow me for every round.
Althought i did not play great i was able to particapate in the shootout at the end by hitting my tee shot on the par 3 5th to pin high 10 feet right from 200 yards in the first round to take closest to the pin. In the first round my opponent stuck it to 12 feet. after sitting around for 4 hours waiting i was very luck to hit a good one to about 10 feet but in the second round pulled my shot and lost by a few feet (thanks for the boo's Gerry!)
All and all a great event. Hope i get a chance to play this again as it is really a great event. Now off to find out what other events i can sign up for as i really enjoy tournament golf and would love to play more but have to figure out how to manage family and golf and some work time as well.Twitter: Gropper76

A great event as always.. the best in the region in my books. The course played tough and if you miss a shot out there you pay... Sadly I played a couple bad holes and it added up.. Hopefully they still have flights next year (though I don't think they will). If there are no flights I am not sure I would play as I think only a handful of guys truely have a chance to win..

I almost ended up being a fatality on Sunday. I was stationed up on #3 (#12 for you non-tourney types ) standing to the golfer's right of the green helping the spotter locate balls in flight. I don't recall the player's name now, but I remember him hitting his tee shot starting out to the right, with a draw. As it rose toward its apex, it passed across a small bank of clouds, and I lost sight of it. I knew it was drawing back towards the green, but I had no idea if it was short, long, etc., and I calmly told the spotter to "have an eye". 2 seconds later I saw a flash of white out of the corner of my eye, accompanied by a sound similar to that an arrow makes going through the air. A microsecond after that I felt a little tug on the sleeve of my golf shirt as the ball passed within an inch of my arm, and thudded a few yards behind me. Another foot to my right and... whew!
I gave him hell for not yelling fore. When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

Amazing tournament, first class the whole way and met some great new friends.
See you all next year......
