I am heading to FL next week for a vacation with the fam and plan on playing a few rounds while I am down there. Hoping this can tide me over till the start of the year. I have been practicing at Foleys since it opened and I am eager to see if the work will pay off. Otherwise I think these last couple of months are going to seem REALLY long.

It better start soon or I'm gonna be broke. Boredom and eBay are a bad combination.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Thankfully I have the Oac down the road so I've been hitting 3-4 times a week with some guidance! My itch is only a 7. But definitely can't wait to get outside!

Unlike last year, actually have a bit of an itch this year. Probably has to do with all the tinkering I've been up to this winter. But I will say this, this will be the first season in I don't know how long that I will be starting the season with the same irons I finished with the previous season. Could this be step 1 of the 12 step process???

My itch was pretty high. I bought a full Reservation Masters membership for the first time for the 2012 season. I was planning on playing Mississippi all the time; but now that Mississippi has decided to not sell any discount memberships to any of the discount membership programs this year and I am very disappointed in them. I am still happy I bought the full RM membership but I will find somewhere else to play. Mississippi was my favourite course for the money in town, but not anymore. I wonder if the members voted for this?
I wish Greensmere was a part of RM.
My itch has dissipated, not sure what Golf Defcom Itch I am at now, Mississippi what have you done?Obviously you're not a golfer.

Actually I'm about a 5 right now--just came in from playing Palmetto Dunes----a little overcast---63 degrees---shot an 90 from the whites---I'm happy
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

I will be doing my hole by hole photo survey that I usually do. I.e. Take a shot from the tee box, then take a shot from the fairway looking at the green for my approach.
Since I'm playing two rounds at the Stadium course the first one will be from the Blues. If that goes well I might move back fro my second round depending on who I get paired with. It's only 6661 from the Blues, which is shorter than I usually play, and 7215 from the tips, which is a little long for me but I have played longer. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

I got my irons regripped and golftown and went and picked them up yesterday. That combined with the weather has put me at a solid 10 out of 10 on the itch scale.

My itch is getting more intense. I am going to re-grip my wedges tonight and after that the itch should be 8 or 9.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

I know the itch is bad when I start looking at clubs/stuff to buy constantly. So far in the last week I have purchased 2 new clubs, a training aid and have been scoping out the R11S and the new Studio Select coming in April.
I even have bought my wife a new Scotty cover, golf shoes and clothes... she plays about 5-8 round a year!

I hear ya. Let's see, since christmas:
2 pairs shorts - Travis Mathew
3 shirts - two Travis Mathew, one Nike
1 pair Puma Cell Fusions
new driver - 910D3
new putter - Piretti
SG5 GPS
and none of this has seen a course yet! and that's not counting a few things i bought and sold that i never used.

At least I'm not the only "sick" one here. I have purchased 2 sets of irons, G15 and I15, 2 Vokey wedges, one Ping wedge, A Ping 3 wood (sold already) a Mizuno Hybrid, 2 sets of shafts, DG and Project X, a new travel bag, a new glove and a dozen balls. And to top it off, I am still golfing, sort of, at the OAC Golf School 2-4 times per week. Maybe I do have a problem?

I avoid buying equipment this time of year that I don't NEED by asking myself these questions: a new golf shirt at GT or round at Eagle Creek? A box of Prov1's or a round at Greensmere? A new bag or a golf trip to Tremblant? A new Scotty Cameron or have all my tournament entry fees paid for 2012?
Rounds > equipment! You only get out of something what you put into it
