Played Casselview yesterday - greens were punched and thus quite slow. Rest of the course was in great shape, and the leaves had been blown off the fairways and into the rough.

Actually the new, additional, drainage on Legacy is working fine. I played Sunday; and it had poured Saturday night at my house 3 minutes away; hole # 2 was wet but not spongy. The green's hole was full of water but the green could be walked on without leaving shoe impressions.

Played Meadows W-S. Some squishy spots, little or no roll, greens a little bumpy, but still very playable. Surprised if there were 20 non-employee cars in the lot, and with 3 - 9s open there was lots of open space between groups.

Has anyone played Stonebridge lately? Thinking about getting out there Friday aft with the father in law.

Played Mississippi yesterday, I shot the second best round of my life. The greens are very fast, even after aeration and sanding last week. Fairways are in mid season form, they are perfect. Fairways were aerated 2 week ago. Club pro said they are aiming for a November 13 closing date. Play it now while you can, best course for the money in town in my opinion.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

I played Stonebridge last weekend. The tees and greens are in good shape. The fairways have been pretty heavily aerated and were fairly wet so don't expect to get a lot of roll. It's good enough that I'm planning another round there before it closes.
I also played Equinelle yesterday and the story is pretty much the same as it was for Stonebridge. The greens were in very good shape... pretty speedy really. The fairways were in fairly good condition too. They have been 'de-thatched' as you might expect at this time of year.

ditto on equinelle, played sat am, the place was pretty much empty that early.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

My wife and I played Metcalfe on Saturday. A couple of soggy spots but overall the course was in great condition. We also played Arnprior on Sunday. Course was in super shape - especially their greens! Metcalfe was a 3.5 hr round. Anprior was busier at 4.5 hrs. But, at this time of year....who cares how long it takes....
Both courses had the leaves well blown off the fairways. Now, if I could just stay in the fairways!

Chateau Cartier has punched most of their greens and some fairways so its bit muddy at places.Other than that, its playable, not the best but o.k for this time of year.

Played Meadows (N-W) Tuesday. Conditions better, dried up a little. N has been more recently punched so greens bumpier, W a little better, can barely see the marks any more. Greens slower, fairways still holding a bit on higher shots, overall very playable at a good price with little or no crowding. Still frustrated at how many front or side edge pin placements there are. Fairway leaves were at a minimum but look out for the rough. Little or no chance on many of the holes. Playing Casselview on Thurs, trip report to follow.

ARNPRIOR was like summer conditions today, fairways & greens looked fresh cut and no leaves. They have the tee's forward so even with 144 golfers on the course things moved well.

Nation has punched greens and rough was being punched today. Still very playable. Had forgotten what a great tight course it is and even managed to par number 18 hole with a bad shot in the rough.

Played Greensmere today. Course is in great shape. Greens are hard and tough to get the ball to stop.

Played Mississippi today ($25 + tax). I've never played the course before and I was pretty impressed. The fairways were quite lush and the greens were still pretty good too. They only had one set of tees 'active' though... pretty much all whites so it played pretty short. It's an interesting course... I haven't had so many blind tee shots since Scotland!

Arnprior is running a 11am Shotgun everyday! They are remaining open until the snow flies. They are cutting greens still. There are no leaves to speak of and Greens are not airified! Get out and play!

Has anyone been out to Outaouais lately?
-
11-06-2011 09:11 PM #59
Played Outaouais today. Many tee boxes are frozen solid....unable to put a tee in. 4 of 18 greens were frozen solid as well. I doubt they're going to stay open much longer ....
