Habs look like the New Jersey Devils of 1995. Keep up the good work!
Sharks players should enter into the 2012 Summer Olympics as a diving team. Pathetic! You only get out of something what you put into it

dude, everything you've predicted is being proven wrong, even if montreal loses, you bash peoples opinion and pass it off as plagerized. Your little comment about the wings "if they win there great, if they lose there old' i've heard Garrioch repeat twice on 1200, and hockey central noon. It's ok I know a few people that have watched a few games and all the sudden think they understand hockey, asn't history proven anything, the NHL, isn't the NFL,NBA or MLB, my friend.........

let's start at the beginning because i have no idea what you're talking about.
everything i've predicted has been proven wrong? like what? predicting who will win a series? who cares?
i bash people's opinions? like who?
i dont listen to 1200 and never heard of Garrioch. I watch hockey games with the sound on mute because i can't stand the announcers in english or french.
so you're saying i've only watched a few games and i think i'm an expert? um, are you just mad that i didn't pick the habs? is this what this is all about? You only get out of something what you put into it

Well, I just read through the entire thread and other than his original predictions not looking too good so far (who cares), all he does is take issue with ONE statement by mberube - that the Wings are tired from their 2 previous Cup Finals appearances. Since one cannot prove this statement to be true or false, it is one that can be debated ad nauseum. This is a good place for that, this being an internet forum.
In essence, you don't like this guy because he has an opinion about the Wings. Good for you. But the only person who is embarrassing himself is you.
Have a great night, though.

Oh well Detroit can't win every year. Frankly I'm glad we're out, I didn't think we had the gas to win it all anyways and this stings less then losing to Cros* last year.

Hey, look at that, the Sharks beat the Red Wings. The only way to shed your image as an underachiever/choke artist is to buck up and win games in the playoffs.
So, good for them. Thornton and Nabokov, too, because both of those guys needed to be strong even in victory.
I dare say, however, that it will be all for naught if they throw a stinkbomb next series. They need a Cup Finals appearance, at least, to satisfy their patient fans.

Sharks outplayed Detroit, even though we scored more goals than they did in the series. I hope SJ wins the cup!
After watching the officiating in this series, I'm all in favor of not having referees in hockey. No penalties, just make hockey a gladiator sport where anything goes. The refs kill the momentum of games. They call penalties when they feel like it, rather than calling them by the book every time. You only get out of something what you put into it

MBerube was repeating a myth. It's not even his own original idea. If it was his idea he would bring some evidence or facts to the arguement. He didn't. To say that Detroit is tired when they lose is a joke statement, it's an excuse that some Red Wings fans repeat and I don't want to hear it. If we're tired then why isn't Pittsburgh tired? Oh right, because their average age is 2 years less than us. (rolling my eyes). If we're tired, then how did the Oilers and Islanders go to 4 or 5 straight finals? They must have been exhausted by the end of their dynasty right????
When asked last summer by a reporter if the summer was too short because they had gone to 2 Stanley cup finals, Henrick Zetterberg said
“I don’t think the summer is short,” he said. “I would rather play hockey than work out in the gym. It would be tougher if summer was longer. You have your two or three weeks to take off. You have plenty of time to go back and see family and friends. I don’t want summer to be any longer.”
The fact is that Detroit is not as skilled/talented as they were the last three seasons. We lost a ton of talent and replaced them with far less talented players. We lost Hossa's 40 goal output, we lost Hudler (talented third liner), we lost Samuelson (PP specialist) who is playing great for Vancouver, and we replaced these guys with 3rd or 4th line bums. I think we scored 150 goals less this year than last year. Guys we expected to grow up didn't, specifically Helm, Filpulla, Abdelkader, Erickson. Our top guns didn't produce like in years past, Datsyuk at 70 pts for the season is a major fail. Jimmy Howard is our lone bright spot on the year. I hope the Wings get rid of some soft euros and put in hard nosed grinders next season. We have to punish teams physically, I think we're too easy a team to play against.
Anyway, that's my season in review, and anybody who says the Wings are tired and old doesn't know what they're talking about, and I have no problem laughing at them. You only get out of something what you put into it
