Played La Cite in Hawkesbury this morning, as they opened on Friday. The course was in great shape for the time of the year... not a wet spot anywhere!
Greens had been punched and were very slow but I think that's to be expected in March . Despite the aeration holes, they rolled pretty true. The opinions expressed in this post are mine and may not necessarily reflect the opinions of others on OG.

Mapleview
Thanks for the update NoBack. Do you happen to know if they are letting out power carts? No answer at the course when I call.
Thanks!

Good job Jay, always enjoyable to get out to Mapleview. I'll get a round in when I get back from Florida.

Anyone care to post an updated list of what's open in the area? I need to start making plans for this weekend.

Anyone know if the Marshes are offering special rates for the Spring or if it's the regular rates?

I'm booked @ 8am friday at Manderley. I booked as a solo, if anybody wants to join me you can likely get in by calling and asking to join Savard. I don't know many people on here but wouldn't mind meeting some more people. I've been told my "game" is entertaining, just not sure it's a good thing....lol.

Are you sure they give you a 50% coupon? The guy on the phone seemed to think that when you pay the $85, they'll let you pay for your next round at 50%. So you'd be paying around $130 upfront, but you get two rounds... Still a good deal, but not sure if people will want to shell out $130 right away... Maybe I misunderstood.

Yes, that is the way it works. $130 up front and you get a coupon good for another round - till May 19th for the free round; after that worth $45 towards your green fee.
Played today - conditions were pretty good. Greens were cut and rolled though still a bit slow but running true. Fairways were punched with the cores left. Very dry - carts were allowed to scatter. Range and practice green are open as well.
