Has anyone played any courses around Nashville?

I have been there (a long time ago) The Opryland Hotel course is called Springhouse. It is where the Seniors Bell South Classic is played. Nice course, pretty flat. Another good option is Legends of Tennesee owned by Tom Kyte.

To save money, the muni courses are half decent courses for half of what you'd pay here. They are open year round so conditions are usually very good, and standards are very high.

It is VERY hot there in August. 35 + degrees when we played Springhouse. I drank 9 lemonades and never peed once. They had huge fans on poles around a few greens where there is no breeze just to keep the greens alive.

If your ball goes in the fescue or forest, hunt at your own risk. There are dangerous snakes in there. A local looked at me like I was nuts when I was about to head in to look.

Thanks for the info. Especially the snake tip. Are the carts at Springhouse GPS and are they path only? Thanks.

Not when I was there, Ok on the fairways and no GPS. Also beware the of the rough at Springhouse, It is like nothing we have here. It's like a stiff hairbrush.
