IntelliGolf Courses
I uploaded these to the Intelligolf server but it takes quite a while to make courses available so I thought I'd start a thread where we can share course files that we have surveyed and are working on amongst ourselves. This will ensure our region is represented well in terms of user contributor quality going forward.
IntelliGolf version 9.2 Eagle edition (or higher) is required to use these courses with your GPS enabled smartphone or PDA www.intelligolf.com
Compatable with: Windows Mobile-based smart phones & Pocket PCs, Palm OS Handhelds and smartphones, Treo , Blackberry, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola Q & Q9, Samsung BJ I & II, T-Mobile Dash

Only the courses on their list that have the icon are GPS enabled. Of the ones I have checked out many are not as good as they could be. Hammond's file for example has only the fronts of most of the greens, and not much else. I hope to improve on the quality of the surveys for our region through our efforts here.
I am thinking for our local courses it's best to start with a mapping using thier google tool which is fine for "rough yardages". The first time you play a course it's better than no GPS. If you play it regularly, then checking and refining all the points with a hand survey is in order. If you do that, post your survey here!
Of course if you google survey a course post that too with a note so we know it needs to be touched up.
I have several of those. I don't consider them ready for the IG server but it would be a good start for us to go on. They will follow shortly.Last edited by Kilroy; 04-30-2009 at 09:51 PM.

i sure hope so but i doubt it. I think when the version changes the file format changes but I hope Im wrong. I think I may have to upload to the ig website and then you download from there as they will convert it to v9 before posting it.

Hey Dan, stupid question maybe, but how do I put these on my phone? Or do I use the intelligolf on my desktop computer, and then it'll find it?

- Start Intelligolf on your desktop.
- Double click on the course file or go to Courses / Import & navigate to the file
- course will be imported / updated to the descktop app
- be sure the sync icon is visible beside the courses you want on your phone
- syncronize with your mobile - see the instructions on IG site the BB will be different than my Nokia

Sorry if I'm a pain, but do I have to create a new folder? Can't see a folder under intelligolf for courses unless I'm looking at the wrong place. At what point did technology pass me by???? LOL

You certainly could put them in a folder off of intelligolf but you'll find them wherever you put them on your hard drive when you downloaded them.
The couses once imported become part of your database (.gdb file) There won't be any seprate files. Your rounds end up in there too when you sync with your phone after playing. Keep the downoaded files as backups.Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.
