You Tube Player
I'd like to test a You-Tube player that we could use here on the network to showcase user's swings. There are basic tools available from You-Tube to do this (and more features coming) so I'd like to do some testing. If anyone has a You-Tube video of themselves hitting send me a link so I have some content to play with.
Thanks.Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

I have been using putfile for years so me and friends can upload videos of ourselves. I actually posted this video on this site a year or two ago just for fun, asking people to give me swing advice....

The garage is mine so the wife has no say.
I’m between a 4 and a 6 depending on the time of year. Looking forward to drop in the 3s this year especially if I want to stay competitive at HP this season. Rumours have it that a hand full of excellent amateur players have joined HP this winter. Intersectional team should be very hard the make this season.Strive for perfection, but never expect it!

Marc, I’m a skier and I love this snow but it is getting crazy. I have nowhere to shovel the stuff anymore. My snow blower cant shoot over the pile of S#%*T anymore. Bring on the nice weather. I have enough snow for me to play in for the next month without needing more snow.
At this rate we wont play golf till end of April. Do I hear flooding???
PS: where is your video?Strive for perfection, but never expect it!

I said to my neighbor this morning... "To heck with it, let's go for the annual snowfall record, we are Canadians. We can take it! This is just something to measure against future winters."

So far the results of my tests with this are disappointing to say the least. The admin has very little control over targeting videos at this point.

Just trying to use the viewer to use a playlist of specific videos that we could add too. A library of user's swings. So far it seems to only allow certain publishers videos to be used, which means what I wanted to do wouldn't work.
I have a few other thoughts on how to do it, both with and without youtube. Of course without using youtube as a host the big issues are storage, bandwidth and server load.
I have not had a lot of time to play with it over the last few days, and I am unlikely to get back to it for a while. Since it didn't work the way I first envisioned it I'll put it on the back burner for now. Perhaps by spring.Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

It's not the same as your personal profile in you-tube. It is the player I am using for the instructional videos. It's a new tool being offered by You-Tube. Still a bit basic.

Since I got numerous PM’s for info on my garage set up I might as well post it here and respond to everyone at the same time.
My garage is standard 8 feet high. I’m 5.10 and able to hit driver. I have never hit the ceiling.
The tarp was a trial and error thing. I tried all types of material but nothing would resist the ball impact especially when hit with the driver. The most resistant material is a painter’s tarp that you can buy at Rona/Home Depot… The material is impact resistant but you must install the tarp so that the ball goes not impact the seam in the tarp. The ball will tear the seam in a matter of days. The tarp hangs from the ceiling and it’s about two feet from the back wall. Nothing behind it.
My hitting mat is a P3Pro Golf simulator that gives you great feedback when practicing. Check out the web site and let me know if you have any questions.
