PX Flighted vs. Dynamic Gold
I've noticed that most PGA tour pros use True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts in their irons. I am looking to reshaft my PING S59 tours. I am about a 3 handicap and am a fairly fast swinger. I am looking at either the PX Flighted or the Dynamic Gold shafts as I am looking for a stiffer shaft and they are heavier than what I am using now. Has anyone tried both and liked one over the other, and which produces an overall lower flight.
Thanks, Brian

You want heavier go Dynamic Gold or better yet, True Temper Black Gold. I went from DG S300 to PX 5.5s in my Tourstages and the overall feel was much lighter with the PXs. I had to get my club builder to add weight and I added more weight with some lead tape myself. Both Dynamic Gold and Black Golds are heavier than PXs.

The flighted PX's are supposed to give you a lower overall ball flight, especially in the shorter irons. We'll see what happens in the spring as that's when I'll be able to try my new PX's outside. I found my ball flight a bit too high towards the end of the year.

I've been playing PXs, the original satin finish ones, for two (or is it three ?) season now and highly recommend them.
Very crisp feel and really nice ball flight. I'm playing 5.5s soft stepped twice. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

Remember, PXs are supposed to play stiffer than rated.
To be honest they don't really feel that much different after soft-stepping. I originally had them installed the standard way but when I added the hybrids to the bag I figured I'd try soft stepping them since this would let me put PX in my 52* and 56* wedges. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!
