Early Goal of the Year Candidate??
With all due respect to McCabe's OT winner the other night , I think Jonathan Toews goal last night is the early season winner so far.
Anyways, I can't get a link to post, but go to TSN.ca and click on NHL and then click on the "Kane...." headline and click on the highlight link. It's the first goal you see. A real beauty."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08

Especially with Havlat there to show them the ropes....
Lesson 1: Go on a huge scoring spree and look spectacular doing it.
Lesson 2: Kick a player on the opposing team in the nuts.
Lesson 3: Get a hang nail, go on IR for 5 months.
Lesson 4: Come back for the playoffs, struggle to get in game shape, then light it up the last few games before your team exits early, leaving the impression of what could've been.
Lesson 5: Repeat
Lesson 6: Repeat again until frustration causes your GM to trade you for 5 cents on the dollar...

My Brother In Law is the Equipment Manager for the London Knights, so he saw Pat Kane in action close up last season.
What he told me is this "He never has to look at where the puck is on his stick. He knows where it is at all times. So he can look the defenders in the eye, go around them and be looking at the goalie and the open spots in the net"
That is why he tore it up as a Rookie last year in the OHL. The coach for the Guelph Storm said in the newspaper "He is the only kid at that age that I have witnessed who can handle the puck like he does"
Last season with the Knights
GP 58 Goals 62, Assists 83 Points 145, +- 42 PIM 52
The future looks quite bright for Pat Kane.My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.
