Another great weekend on the course..

Wow.. what a year.. My game has been rocking.. Won our CC and 2 weekends ago won a mens open.. Well I have to say as nice as those wins were yesterday I was a part of a team win that meant a lot to me.. My club won the anual Valley League.. The Valley League is a competition kind of like intersectionals but it is the same 5 clubs every year and its a stroke play event.. This year the competition was held at Cedar Glen.. We haven't won this since 1995 when I was a jr. and not eligable for the team.. Oh I should add the team is made up of 4 A class, 4 B class, 4 C class and a senior and junior. It was a great day yesterday and the pins were insane.. Def. a bunch of illegal pins.. but hey they were the same for everyone..

We finished first 8 strokes ahead of Summer Heights.. Myself I shot 74 with a stupid triple bogey.. It was good enough to get me into a 3 way playoff for low gross.. I however lost in the playoff playing poorly.. I found out right before the playoff that we had won and I was so pumped up I didn't care about the individual win.. For me its a team event.. Anyway I had a couple pics from yesterday that I thought I would share with my fellow OGers.. We took the cup back to our course and enjoyed some beverages..

Buy a sweet belt buckle, something in the 6 lb weight class. That way you'll want to tuck your shirt in to show it off to everyone. You could get one with a picture of you fighting off a pack of ravenous lions trying to get close to your scotty collection.
