2007 Sun Scramble
Since the Citizen is now over for me, time to shift focus to the other newspaper's tournament.
Anyone else here playing?
MJF and I are entered again this year, hoping to make up for last year's horrible play in the first round.
To make things interesting, I think I'm going to call out Mr's McGee and Koski, the two time champions of the Sun Scramble. You're going down this year! Or more realistically, we're going to be within 10 strokes of you.
Either way, should be fun.Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

Looks like I may be shifting to the B side if my handicap keeps rising!

Thinking of participating in the open B. What are the requirements to prove that you're a B class player.

They didn't check official handicaps last year for "A" so for the "B" I assume you just need to sign up. The handicap requirements for "B" aren't that tough.

When is this event taking place? If it takes place during my August vacation, I may be interested in playing. I want to get a tournament in before the docs have a crack at fusing my left ankle.

The Open tournament is Aug 25-26 but the field for that is full with the exception of four spots that are going to be filled at the Qualifier round this weekend at Eagle Creek.
Off-topic, when are they fusing your ankle? Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

Maybe you can McGuyver up some kind of brace and get on the Fore Inventors only show on the Golf Channel?

Hey Jvincent...hopefully we get paired together in the tourney...then may be we can have some friendly wagering. LOL. I just hope the course is in good shape. Only played it once this year. See ya at the tourney boys.

The course is in very good shape, much nicer than it was earlier in the season. They also added water dispensers.

anyone know what time the B division starts on the 21st? I might be interested in playing. Anyone else out there looking to play?
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I apologize for the tardy response - I meant to come by with that info last night. First tee off time is 7:00am! Groups will be going out at 10 minute intervals, meaning the last group will tee off shortly after 2:00pm.
If there are any questions about the tourney, I should be able to handle most... so post here or PM me any time.

Myself and another forum member are in the event. Man.. I am hoping I stay away from that 2:00 tee time if it's hot like today...

Can anyone give me any details about the B side of this event? I don't really find the website that informative...
The scramble format I understand. What else goes on at the event?

I don't know what you're looking for, but I'm willing to help clear up any questions you may have. The website, as far as I can see, has all the required elements (who, what, where, when, etc.) as well as a comprehensive list of rules... but THE event is the two-man scramble tournament. What's missing? If you can identify something, I'll have it added ASAP.
As for "what else goes on at the event", there will be a putting competition, a car up for grabs from West Ottawa Hyundai on one of the par 3 holes and a few other fun "side attractions", but the main point of the tournament is to see what two-person pairing can score best and therefore become the B Class Champions.
Again, if I am missing anything (or if you can identify something the site may be lacking), I'm the go-to guy. Let me know here and I'll get you the info or remedy the situation.

It was my understanding it would be a shot gun start. No?
That's going to be a very long day for whoever has the 7am tee time & the group teeing off at 2pm will need to get around in about 4 hours.Al Gore didn't invent the internet, but he did invent global warming.
