A Pleasant Surprise
I believe in giving out compliments when they are due. Just got back from playing Bearbrook for the first time in 2 years. My first reaction was--new owner or new management. Neither. Apparently the greenskeeper from Metcalfe has taken over the overseeing of the course and it sure shows.
There is no way you can compare the greens to what they were 2 years ago---the tee boxes are improved and the fairways seemed a lot easier to walk--especially #9--I had trouble finding the crushed stone. All in all there has been a vast improvement Even Jerry had a smile on his face
Keep it up guys--an enjoyable 4 hours at 7:00amDoes the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

I agree. I played the course last weekend and was pleasantly surprised... even though our twosome did get stuck behind a Ladies' Match play foursome. And yes, they took it very seriously LOL!

This is great to hear as I have a 7am tee off time there on Saturday morning. Maybe they'll finally get the greens and tee boxes to an adequate level for play. I like Bearbrook as its 12$ for me (CG Member ) and I tee off at 7 and am home by 11-11:30 normally.
Thanks for the updates guys!Lots of yoga pants these days, not enough Yoga!

Thanks for the update BM. Played there a few years ago and it was a little ragged. Never understood how it could survive in it's present/past form with all the new courses coming on line in this end of the City and the improvements on the older established couses. Maybe if the course elevates itself we can get Dan to add it to the list.

^^^^^Yep I played with Executive this am 10.00---it sure beats hitting a bucket of balls for the same price.
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?
