How sweet it is
Gotta love the finish at the Buick. Way to go Big John!!
What a great bunker shot on the extra hole. For a big ball hitter, he sure does hit it soft when he needs to.I've spent most of my life golfing .... the rest I've just wasted"

It was sweet to watch... For those who didn't see it, tune in to the highlight reel for the next few days because that shot was simply awesome! First win for Big John in 9 years... gotta love it!!

Man, I've seen some hard lip-outs but that was just rude.
Full marks to Daly though. He took all the pressure and threw it right back at the young guys.
When he pulled the 3-wood after the other guys layed up, and the gallery was hooting and hollering, what a rush.
The fun is back boys and girls.

Last time i got off my couch and cheered for a golfer was Mike Weir at the masters last year. Good for John. Maybe the golf world will stop trying to be robots now.

agree to that
Seems like he's the "peoples choice". I think it's because he's an average guy. I've always liked him, love watching him in skins and the way he relates to the crowd.
The way it was, when we watched Lee Trevino, hamming it up with the crowd but still able to play a great game. I hope the rest of 2004 is a banner year for him.I've spent most of my life golfing .... the rest I've just wasted"

Sorry Faldo. We like the guy because he's just an ordinary Joe with baggage like the rest of us who can play the game of golf better than 99% of the people on the planet, and have fun doing it. If he wants to p*** and gamble his life and money away, so what. That's his choice. He'd probably be the first one to tell you he's no role model.

Thats it exactly! With John Daly you get the honest truth. He doesn't put on a media friendly face just for the viewer. He basically says here I am, this is who I am.
Who was the last person you saw smoking and drinking while walking down the fairway or waiting for his turn to putt? One thing about Daly other than he's an awesome talent, is that he enjoys the fans...he's signing autographs and jokes with them often.
I think it was Ferehty that said John Daly winning the Buick proves that you don't have to be a golfing machine to do it. Gives the little guy hope!

Now what are the chances of him winning again this week? Nothing would be sweeter than back to back victories.

Are you going to pick him in the fantasy pool? I wonder how many will?I've spent most of my life golfing .... the rest I've just wasted"

I'm sure there are alot of people debating picking him this week, I'm sure more than half will, I won't be as much as it would be sweet for golf. I loved one of his quotes after winning the Buick
“My slogan is: who needs fitness when you have great equipment and I’m sticking to it.”

No more music
Maybe this will encourage JD to put down the guitar. Please John!! And with the cash from this win I expect he'll upgrade his motorhome to a double-wide.
But he best thing about Daly is that he has 2 more majors and now more victories in the last 2 seasons then Phil.If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
