It's getting pretty embarrasing. Perhaps the powers that be will learn something about over-hyping rising stars. It's not a good thing if the star isn't up to the hype.

its a classic tale of the young prospect... same happened with tiger, no matter what happend he was always talked about... though HE WINS!
Mogan Pressel and Paul Creamer are both 20 and under, and i would much rather watch them play any day of the week! instead of Wie... she needs to work on her golfgame cuz right now all shes doing is embarrasing herself...

Sadly her closest attempt at making the cut was 1 stroke... Her FIRST attempt...

What's with all you "glass-half-empty" types? A nice easy 61 or 62 today and she's right back in this thing.

She's done like dinner. The little hawaiian dude might make the cut though!

Update on the Ames situation. Both he and rookie Tom Johnson were DQ'd for signing incorrect scorecards.
Ames signed for a 4 on 18 when he actually made a 5. Johnson's was on the par-3 11th, where he signed for a 3 instead of the actual bogey 4.
Had the scores been added correctly, Ames would have still missed the cut at +3. Johnson however, would have finished right on the cut line at +1.
I seem to remember we've had this discussion before...When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

After a smooth 78/76 She went WIE WIE All the way home GIVE IT UP YOUNG LADY. I am going to find her website (Surely a certified Super Star like her has her own website. Heck I have my own! ) and see if I can leave her OLD MAN some friendly advice!
I love this statement she made after the first round.
"Even though I was playing bad, I knew I could always come back if I get the ball in the fairway," said Wie, who managed that just one time on a breezy day along the shores of Oahu. "At the end, I actually felt like I was playing golf."
Yah, we call it golf too when we shoot an 88
Tadd Fujikawa is sitting comfortably at -3 after a steller 66 today! That little dude can play!My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

I guess they are waiting for her to make a cut so they can toot their horn rather than face the kind of criticism posted on the other site.
Kinda sad really.Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

The site I posted the link for was the first one to come up on the Google search.
I like it better, you can leave your thoughts behind Go read some of those thoughts, some are just downright nasty. Truthful but nasty!
If they are waiting for her to make a cut in a PGA event before they launch her official website, it could be a long long time before that happens!

Comments: Michelle, you need to quit being a snob and stay in your own game. You are
bad for the game of golf. You can not make it in your game, so what gives
you the right to play in the MEN'S game. I lost respect for the game
because of you.
was that you GolfBum?

Forget Michelle Wie, Tadd Fujikawa is the real deal. Wie can't make a cut even though everything is handed to her on a silver platter- the endorsements, the exemptions, and they're getting screwed over because she can't make a cut. Now enter Tadd, a 5' 1" 16 year old who's overcome difficulty since he was born, he wors his way up, and plays his way into the tournament, and makes the cut. THAT is a player. Someone who works for stuff, and doesn't have everything given to them.

Gee I wonder why it is DOWN? Crashed from having too many users posting comments about her missing yet another cut! Surely not from all of her well wishing fans!My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

I have only 2 words for Michelle Wie OVER RATED. And with Tadd I wouldn't call him the real deal until he wins a tournament, we all thought Wie was a winner too but she can't win an LPGA trophey either. Did you see Tadds 35 yard shot outta the rough yesterday what a bomb right on TV to boot.
