    Shorten wedge shaft?

I am sure this has been covered, but I can't find any specific recommendation in searching through these threads.

I have a 52* wedge with a +1" shaft. Since all my other clubs are regular length, it is noticeable. Therefore, I figure there are four options:
    1. leave it and remember to choke down a little
    2. get it cut
    3. sell it and get a regular length
    4. get it re-shafted

Since #1 is by far the simplest and cheapest, is there any real reason not to do that? I will be reminded to choke down every time I take it out of the bag, because it sticks out past my other irons!
    Thanks,
    Tim

    Tim,

I'm 99.3452% sure that Golf Town would be happy to trim off 1" for you. All you'd have to do is buy a new grip, so depending on what you put on it you're probably looking at $8-$12

I've had 4 different clubs cut down varying amounts during a re-grip and they have never charged me for it - they are really good that way.

Hacker. Were the clubs swingweighted accordingly? Timothy.Reeve I would suggest that you take a very good look at this video.

    Thanks Chief,
Very informative and useful. I will check out both issues and see what it comes to. As for the length, I know that is too long. Now I have a specific value to work with. The swingweight will be the deciding factor in how to proceed,
    Thanks,
    Tim
