Nostalgia
I took my first golf lesson from Lionel Hebert, in 1956. My clubs were my Dad's MacGregor Tourneys, forged blades and persimmon woods. They were too heavy for me.
When I turned 13, my Dad gave me a new set of Wilson Staffs. The pro had ordered them with L-flex shafts. Those were probably the sweetest swinging clubs I ever had, I still miss them.
Now I will be sixty on Saturday. For my birthday my wife gave me a new set of Distance Master Pro Launch iron heads. I am thinking about assembling them with something like True Temper Release, or Apollo Spectre Lite. Perhaps I could recapture the swing I had as a teenager.

I had a set of Distancemaster irons underrated if you ask me.
Try the FST line of shaftsDirty...Mean...And Mighty Unclean.

What would you think about the FST Pro Silver? They are only $6.50 at GolfWorks, 100 grams in a 41-inch shaft with an 11-inch tip. It has a high bend point and a medium/soft tip.
