U.S. Open Predictions
My favourite golf tournament of the year is upon us. The reason the " U.S. Open " is my favourite, because it's the toughest tournament of the year, on the toughest course of the year. My top three picks are:
1.) Mike Weir - Double Major Winner in 2003 ?
2.) Tiger Woods - He's got Game !
3.) Kenny Perry - Why not...
Good luck on your prediction, and I am sure we will be treated to a Great 4 days of golf, I only wish I was playing ! Maybe next year I will ?

US Open Predictions...
Hmm...
This one was easy. Was, I said. Jim Rome had Lanny Wadkins on the radio show talking about the Open and Phil Mickelson.
The concensus (assuming you can get a concensus with Mr. Rome) is that Phil has the talent but not the proper mental approach to make the Open a realistic win.
Then, I hear on Monday that Phil seems to have changed his tune. I hear that he's looking to play conservative. Phil M playing conservative??? As John Davidson says....OH BABY!!!
So, my picks... VJ (in spite of Annika-gate), Phil and Mike Weir will dual it out for 2nd. ... Tiger?? (we'll find out that his driver is corked -- like he needs it) Actually, I believe that Tiger's putter will be stone-cold this week.
Go lefties! <-- Yes, I'm a lefty!
Cheers,
DonH

I'd love to see Weir win another major, and Tiger is the obvious favorite, but for those in pools looking for another choice, take a look at Jim Furyk. 13 of 14 cuts made this year and 10 top tens. With all the mulitple winners this year he's 6th on the money list and hasn't won yet. I think he's due and his tour ranking of 5th in driving accuracy is gonna be important this week.

I believe Mike Weir will have a great week at least top 5 if not win. Kenny Perry is hot also. With the amount of mutliple winners this year you have to figure it will be one of those guys. But hey my not so long shot would have to be Cink who shot 61 and 62 in qualifying. My over 40 picks would have to be Nick Price and VJ.

His brother-in-law, who was the executive assistant to Love, committed suicide after being caught embezzling from Love. He was married to Love's sister.

I find it the hardest at the Majors to make 7 predictions(like we have to in the Ottawa Golf Fantasy League). There's always more than 7 guys you could choose. Just look at the leaderboard today, although it is just Friday.
I did pick Furyk though.

What are predictions for the final round? It's saturday evening and I realize i'm probably the only one on the discussion forum and not out golfing because I have to work. The canucks are doing okay but too much to come back at this point, unless Leggett goes 2 or 3 under on his final few holes. I like Furyk myself.

7 of my guys made the cut for the Fantasy League. Furyk is going to win his first major and Weir is having a good day. The only thing that is kinda bad today is I'm at work and it's Father's Day.

I finally made a bit of a move from 70th to 55th. Slowly making my way to the top so I can do some braggin' or at least get some free golf. Nothing like golf especially when it's free.

HAH...you guys have no bragging rights at all!!!
I convinced my wife to play this year, figuring she would have a shot at a weekly prize.
Well, OO7 FOREVER has been in the top two or three almost all season. I'm hanging around 50th place (at best)..
She's actually offered to look over my picks before I submit them.
Ain't love grand?????
