    Question Anyone played Edmundston Golf Club in NB?

    This is my home course. I now reside in Ottawa. I've always wondered how they can increase their green fees. Everyone drives through Edmundston on their way to the Maritimes, but never seems to take the time to stop and play a great course that hosted the Canadian Amateur in 2002.

    My question is have you ever played it? And what were your thoughts on the course?

    Closest for me would be "Kingswood" in Fredericton. What a great course that was.

    Next time you're in NB, should you drive by Bathurst, go to "Gowan Brae Golf & Country Club" [ http://www.gowanbrae.ca ]. Beautiful course!

    I played there many years ago. If they've maintained their standards, it should conitnue to be a wonderful golf course. If you're in that area, you should travel south and also play Aroostook Valley. The course is in Maine and the clubhouse is in New Brunswick, all of which is a result of prohibition. A great course also.
