Help me choose irons
Looking to pick up a new set of irons. The above are my choices I have narrowed it down to. Any input on these sets would be appreciated. Thanks.
Forgot about a set of Mizuno Grads w/Rifle 6.0.
These are the irons within my price range (275-325ish or less) but if you have any other options feel free to post and if I could get my hands on them, even better.Last edited by Big Johnny69; 08-02-2005 at 03:02 PM.

I'd love to help you out Geoff, but seeing as how two of the iron sets on your list belong to me, I'll have to pass for fear of being biased.

I thought you were a club 'ho? Don't you know that the correct answer is "All of the above"?
BTW, stopped in at CB's on Somerset and saw a used set of Adams GT Tours listed around $250. They had the original GT shafts (steel with graphite tip) in stiff flex. Just in case you want to try something a little different.Golf is a game invented by the same people who think music comes out of bagpipes.

Thanks for the update. I have a set of GT Tours I can try if interested. Did some research and those steel/graphite shafts are prone to break. It's an option but a little further down my list.

New Wrenches
What about a set of RAC OS or RAC HT's? My buddy has a set of RAC OS irons and loves them. Another friend of mine has the HT's and loves them.
I have a set of WISHON 550C's and a set of TaylorMade 200 series. The 200 series are solid irons and you can buy a good used set fairly cheap now.My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

You know Geoff, I don't want to influence the vote, but maybe just for the sake of public interest you could tell everyone how your round went today with the Acer XDS Pro2s I loaned you...

It was a 74 with an eagle and two birdies. Only second eagle ever for me. And man do those wedges spin the ball. Avg about 9ft of spin with anything that hit the green from 9-SW. Definite frontrunners in the great iron sweepstakes right now. Thanks Reid for turning me on to the Acers.

LOL! Well Saint, they might be for sale if Geoff continues to make Eagles with them. I couldn't break his heart and demand them back if he really loves them. But right now they're still mine so fee free to whack a few with them.

What if I shoot a 73 and get two eagles??
Nice dream while it lasted.. I wouldn't want to put any bad luck on them. Some people are like Slinkies... they're really good for nothing, ... but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

Thank you all for the input. I have decided on a set, being built by the Saint as I type this, and oddly enough it is a set not even on my list. Thanks again for voting.

iron set
OK so it is not a set on the list, what is it then? Curious to hear what the Saint is going to cook up for you as he did an outstanding job on re-shafting (spining) my Hogan apex's and now I am 2 irons stronger than I was before.
Thanks
Claude

I have decided to go with a set of Kenneth Smith Blades. A little much in the hard to hit category, but if I work at it and strike them well, I will be hitting the ball the best I ever have because with those little heads there is next to no room for error.
