golf season over - in a flash
This golf season was going so well. Played about 25 rounds, my handicap was coming down, shot a season low 83 and beat my buddy at his home course Glen Arbour in Halifax by 1 stroke. Then I broke my collar bone playing Ultimate frisbee. That was 3 weeks ago and I'm stuck sitting at home on the beautiful weekends watching golf on TV. Depending how I heal, I should be ok for fall golf.
So if you're having a bad round of golf, just remember it could be worse. Enjoy it while you can! Fore!!!

Yup, and a clavicle strap is no picnic in the heat. Straps over the shoulders, under the pitts and across your back.
Been there done that, got the lumpy bone.

Dunno. I was 16 and I didn't play golf then.
I can't imagine it not affecting your swing untill it is fully healed. Don't push your luck. Better to wait than to damage it again. Ask the doctor to be sure.

Going to see a Sport Medicine doctor on Monday...will inquire about the golf swing motion. So far I haven't been too happy on the advice I've been getting from doctors on how to treat a broken collar bone. I found this site which has been very helpful...just in case if anyone ever breaks their clavicle. I had a lot of time to kill being house-bound for 2 weeks
