Casual water relief
I have a question about relief from a hazard that is staked and the water is now outside the staked area. If the ball is not in the hazard but in the water is it considered casual water and you get a free drop or are you now in the hazard even though the markers are under water? With all the rain we've had this could be a very common problem this year.
Thanks for an answer

Any overflow of water from a water hazard which is outside the margin of the hazard is casual water.

Gotta love that answer from Gary!!! I played Predator and the 14th fairway is so close to the water level that there's an overflow of water almost every time I play it. Anyway, I pulled my drive left but it landed into the overflow thus preventing it from going into the hazard. Lucky I guess. I took relief from the casual water, hit the green in 2 (it's a par 5) and made my eagle!!!
Now that's luck!
