LF: Orlando Golf Recommendations

I'm heading to Orlando on business for two weeks at the end of August. If the hurricanes hold off, I was hoping to play a little golf. Preferably on the inexpensive side, although I might treat myself to one nice round. I'll be staying near the Univerisry of Central Florida. If anyone has any recommendations on courses I should try, let me know.

I'll be bringing my clubs with me. Any recommendations on which type of travel bag to get?

I was in Orlando in January and played some golf but not at what I'd call inexpensive courses. Here is my one recommendation though... Check out this web site:

Pick the day and area (Florida) you want to play and see what pops up. Using this site, I played at the Ritz Carlton course in Orlando for $65 (regular $195 at that time of year) and it was a nice Greg Norman designed course with SUPERB service. That included a caddy and a cart (caddy expects a $20ish tip). Summer rates are lower...

Other courses on this site that you might like to try are Grande Pines and Hawks Landing. I didn't play at either of these but the research that I did before I went there seemed to indicate that they were very nice. I think we drove by Grande Pines and it looked great.

Another course that I played was Mystic Dunes. It's a very nice course, designed by Gary Koch (NBC golf announcer). It has a couple of wonky holes but I liked it.
