Is Cedar Glen actually open? Someone here said yes and the website is accepting bookings, but main page says course is closed.

Cedar Glen
I played Cedar Glen last Wednesday (April 6th) and booked my spot with Chronogolf. The grass on the greens had been growing for several days and had just been cut, producing late-spring roll and speed in early April. It was quite a pleasant surprise. The 360-yard 2nd hole is being extended 140 yards to make an uphill 500-yard par 5. The present hole is intact, but the new fairway beyond its green has been cleared and is almost ready for seeding; the new green at the top of the hill has been shaped. The third hole is being lengthened: trees have been cleared to set the tee back about 70 yards. Twice round the 9 holes will soon produce a length of about 6,000 yards, with a par of 70 and rating in the neighborhood of 69.5.

Well the game is showing my age I shot 2 93s on a hard course and I was extremely happy. The conditions were unbelievable. We played Oldfield Golf and Country Club in Bluffton---just outside of Hilton Head. It is a Greg Norman designed course on a private 55 plus retirement community------there is a different world out there.
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

I know for a fact Vieux are going to redo all the sand traps this year .... When it rains its a beautiful course ... when its dry its a links course but one of the best layout ... definitely the best price ...

Prescott was in very good condition for this time of year. Greens where fast enough and rolled well, no bumps. Very few wet spots, the usual back nine holes but honestly, no complaints. Place was packed but very good pace of play.

Played Dragonfly today and must say it wintered very well. Carts were allowed on fairways except certain areas on a couple of holes. Greens were rolling nicely for April. Usual wet areas in low lying areas, notably holes 9, 11 and 18. It was a great opening day...worth the drive.

Played Emerald today. West/South. Took us about 3.75hrs. Parking lot was pretty full by the time we finished but it was moving well. Only exceptionally wet spot was 7 west but very playable.

Yes Mark----there are three courses within the complex. They are about 3 miles north of Harbour Town.

Maybe moderator\owner can start a new thread called Course Openings and Spring Conditions and move the relevant posts over. This may be a bit more relevant now that golf season has started. Thanks

The calendar was awesome for this. Not sure how much went into it but it was a great tool.
