    Conditions at Black Bear Ridge or Timber Ridge.

    Hello.
    I am headed to Belleville this weekend to play Black Bear Ridge and Timber Ridge again.
    Has anyone played them recently, and if so, would you be able to share any comments about their conditions? Many thanks in advance for your help.

    P.S. I played in a tournament a week ago Saturday, it was a fundraiser for James Patchell from Carleton Place. James is battling Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Our foursome won the tournament with a 12 under par... but that achievement paled in comparison to the achievement by the community in the outpouring of support for James. The Toronto Star featured an article about this young man's fight, as did this article from Inside Ottawa Valley, which features James reading a very poignant letter written to him by the Mario Lemieux foundation:

    Conditions at Black Bear are good. Tees aren’t as great as they were but overall the course is in nice shape. Other than hole 11 I really like the layout. Super fun course to play. A little Overrated at 50 in the score golf rankings, but solid nonetheless. FYI it’s also under new ownership.

    Timber Ridge

    Played it last weekend. Phenomenal shape! Greens are extremely fast but true. Fairways solid front to back. A+++
