Range finders at the PGA Championship

Maybe its just me but saw the players using rangefinders for the very first time in a PGA game yesterday. I knew they could use them on practice rounds but had no idea they could use them during an event. Was this an exemption or can they use them all the time?

Never mind, just found an article on the usage of the range finder in the PGA. They cant use GPS systems though.
I think its a good thing and speeds up the game a bit. What do guys and gals think?

I don't think it speeds things up a lick. They still go through their usual process, just add one more thing to it.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.
