I live just off Preston
There are currently a million people looking at tulips
Bylaw said they would not intervene
Unless you were walking with 3 other people on a golf course
Then that would be extreme

Earlier today I passed by Carling and preston Ave and Tulip fest was packed! - I guess it's essential to take pictures of flowers- Yet golf is risky...

Clearly no one is obeying the "stay at home order" . Thousands are at Dow's Lake and many around Moooney's Bay and Vincent Massey, yet no golf . Doug Ford needs to open his eyes

Clearly By law is not enforcing any type of "stay at home" order when you have that many people at Dows lake, parks in Toronto, protesters all weekend...etc. It is now time for Mr. Ford to open his eyes and realize that the "stay at home" order is obviously not working. Open the out door activities for all....not just for some. Open businesses for all....not just for some. This is getting ridiculous.

I'm curious as to whether or not the city bylaw officers have jurisdiction to hand out fines on NCC property. Anybody happen to know?

So we can't golf in Ontario because they want to restrict non essential travel and stop guys from having "pops" together after a round. Yet groups of cyclists/motorcyclists are allowed to tour around together? (I saw a tonne of them this weekend) What, are they going for groceries? Do they think these guys aren't getting together after their rides and having a few "pops"?

It was just announced on CBC Radio that the Province's Lisa MacLeod said they may open golf earlier, perhaps before June 2 depending on the case count!

I hope I’m wrong but I think its a setup…the Chief Medical Officer has said cases have to be below 1000 for several days before the lockdown is lifted. We are still over 2000 cases….the politicians are now linking change to case numbers…They will say case numbers are still too high to justify extending the measures…

77 new cases in Ottawa today
3 new cases inThunder Bay for a total of 29 active cases
A city of 100,000 and still no golf
Frustrating to see the inflexibility of government

I will bet a case of Doug’s “buck a beer” that he will not open golf until after the May long weekend. May 25th?? Too many of Doug’s buddies having “pops” on May 24 weekend after golf. He will make it look like he listened and opened up a little earlier than the June 2 date hoping that it will help his approval rating which is dropping like a lead balloon. Totally incompetent and under qualified for the job of Premier since day 1 and really showing now during the pandemic.

I would be very surprised if golf is allowed before June 2. This is a government, in a corner and on the wrong side of a bad policy decision, turning around and punting it to the public health officials - which is rather rich considering that this same government did not follow the science advice in the first place. It’s classic bait and switch. The decision makers say it could end before June 2 and deflect all pressure to Dr. Williams and other public health officials in the province. Nobody has any idea, nor have officials shared any metrics, of what would be needed for this to happen. That way the government can easily deflect to those same officials later with a shrug saying “they would not less us do it”. Terrible policy making and no accountability politics - it’s pretty desperate when it is such a transparent/blatant attempt at deflection. Sheesh.

Half hearted response by police on the bridges. No bylaw enforcement at Dows Lake for the massive crowds viewing the tulips. Texas had zero deaths yesterday after lifting its mask mandate weeks ago. The prediction of Armageddon never happened. But trust the experts even though there has not been one document case of Covid infection outdoors worldwide.
