Humpty Dumpty has been doing these nonsense since a year+ ago and we are worst than before. - Go and ask all small business owners who are closed to bankruptcy due these ineffective and non-sense actions.
And Yes, I want this to be over. I would start by removing Humpty Dumpty as he is not qualified to address these issues. - You can easily track his records so far. (Now he is hiding in so called in isolation)
You want to get this over, removing him will be a solid step forward.

So easy to blame the government. It's not what the government or the chip guy can do for you it's what YOU can do to stop this. You are asked to stay home and not cross the border because the hospitals cannot handle more, on both sides Ottawa and Gatineau people are sick some are dying. Gatineau hospitals are sending patients to Montreal, Many are suffering while waiting for surgical procedures that has been delayed for over a year.

I think you're a little harsh on Ontario's premier. What should he do to fix the problem? Complete shut down? Curfew? Leaders from all over the world except for a few ( Australia-New Zealand- England) have lost their handle on the virus. You could also blame Trudeau for not closing the borders soon enough. Or reopening bars, restaurants and gyms too early. One gym in Quebec city neglected to respect the rules. Result: 419 new Covid cases https://globalnews.ca/news/7744065/q...ases-covid-19/
Believe me if there was an easy fix all the leaders of the world would have applied by now.

Well I am doing my part by raising awareness of this incomplete person. The problem is over his head. His record is the proof that person is not qualify to address this. - Stop the non-sense actions; such golf and outdoor activities that are clearly not the issue.
At the end of the day, I got nothing against the guy but if the problem is over his head, step a side and let someone who is qualified to take over. - he is not a week in to the problem, its been more that a year and he has nothing to show. - time to go.

I have no empirical evidence but based on my conversations on the golf courses the older male golfer tends to be somewhat conservative and I think Premier Ford may come to regret p*ssing off voters.

Political leaders are chosen and thrive because they can build consensus and listen to many voices and appeal to a wide base made up of different needs. Our Canadian politicians are great at policy and direction.
Sadly, our politicians are bad at getting things done.
Unfortunately getting things done (buying vaccine supplies, mass distribution, securing the essential services supply chain) were the things we needed to get Canada out of this mess.
The US is far ahead of us, Israel has been vaccinated long ago and we in Canada are still debating policy?

You realize we are 3rd in the G20 in terms of vaccinations right? We also have to import all of them, we don't produce any. The US is head because they are manufacturing millions of doses. As for Israel, they gave up massive amounts of medical data on their citizens and paid a major premium to get those vaccines. No way Canada was giving up personal information to get to the front of the line.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Thanks for mentioning that. I see NY Times has a tracker: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...s-tracker.html I had been under the impression we were way behind, but we're actually doing well as far as vaccinated population goes.

Obviously a disgraceful decade and a half. We were reduced from the economic and financial leader of Canada to a socialist piss-poor HAVE NOT province. That said, Ford has forgotten that if you take peoples' rights and freedoms away in the name of " collective safety" you end up being less safe and with fewer rights and freedoms.

This is exhausting
Don't you find this chatter to be exhausting!!!!!
Not only do I read it, I have to moderate it... and now would be the best time for everyone in the community to give your minds a rest.
Practice your swing instead of taking a swing at an OttawaGolf Forum member.
And that said, if you post something, be sure you really want to post it because it opens you up to scrutiny and that's not why you were invited here. As it appears to be the same few (for years) that throw comments out there to see who bites, then everyone gets to read about it.
Stop telling your fellow golfers what's wrong with their comments and offer something to help them. Something positive that could really make a difference.
That's all I got.
Hope you signed up for the 100 Golf Gloves we're giving away today!

I have to say I agree with a couple of the comments here "what has this got to do with golf".. I also want to say thanks to Mike for allowing the back and forth----this would not have been tolerated before---it's refreshing----to a point
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

I received mine within 2 weeks of completing the survey. I must have been one of the first because the glove was received quickly. The packaging was also very impressive. The leather looks and feels to be of very good quality. Nice product....I wonder what the Canadian pricing will be on this.
