    what colour shoes?

Ok, so I just bought my first pair of white (with brown/saddle) shoes. I have always worn brown or black, ever since my first pair. I actually don't mind the look of white on other people but it is taking some getting used to for me. I also find the white somewhat distracting when I set-up for my shot. The darker colours just don't stand out against the grass.

The other thing that drives me nuts is when I see the pros wearing long black, navy, etc. pants with white shoes. I think it looks ridiculous, like some sort of fashion crime.

    What do others think?

I love the way dark pants or even shorts look with white saddle shoes. Toss a pair of black socks on too and your lookin hardcore!

My all black shoes make my toes hot, but I love them.

You're new shoes will just take some time to get used to, but I'm sure they look fine.

I have white shoes for morning and early afternoon games and of course dark brown or black shoes for evening rounds.

... and if you have a tee-off between 2:00 and 3:00??? May I suggest yellow or orange.

Wow, when I saw this thread's title, I thought for sure "THOTHO" had started it to complement his hat/shirt thread....

To me, golf isn't a fashion show, so it really doesn't matter. If BAD colour combinations bother you, go with neutral stuff like I do with brown slip-on shoes, and green or beige pants. I'm not dressed well, but don't think I'm offensive looking... lol...

My hat had a nice green colour coming along until my wife washed it (it started baby blue).... So the house is in order!

    Shoes

I have two pair of Bites, both are white and black saddles! I had a black pair but sent them back under warranty and the store did not have black in my size.
As far as I am concerned if your shoes are kept clean that is all that counts. Nothing worse than seeing dirty golf shoes below a nice clean pair of pants.

As for sandals, I tossed the thought around about buying a pair. But I play too many rounds in the morning so I would not be wearing them much. Plus I have no toenails so I thought that might not look good!

Wear whatever colour shoes you want guys, just keep em clean.
Like Broken27, Dan said. Golf is not a fashion show. In a way he is partially correct for us at least. We are not on TV, we are not making $$$$ from endorsements. Dress nice, make sure you have clean shirts, shorts, socks and shoes and you are good to go in my books. Oh yeah, toss that black hat out that is covered in sweat stains, you ain't a redneck cowboy are you?

My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

Up until this year I've normally worn running shoe-style golf shoes...buty this year I have ordered a pair of the brown/brown Nike Sp-5 shoes. I always, ALWAYS wear shorts when I play...I don't think I could ever go with a black pair of shoes because it would look just silly with shorts.

    Polyester is back baby!

Jesper is my hero also. He's going to start playing some better golf though, maybe now that he's turned 40.
