Not sure of the pricing but the Brookstreet Hotel (Marshes Golf Club) usually has stay and play packages.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

A lot of folks talk about Chateau Montebello. Older quirky hotel but great golf course. Great dining room when it is fully open, though a bit overpriced IMO. Kind of halfway between Ottawa and Montreal.

For places inbetween Montreal and Ottawa:
Montebello has a promo right now you can find the link through Ottawa golf expo, it's $300 for 2 people including night at Fairmont hotel.
Also check out Carling Lake and Lachute. You can register for Lachute email newletter they often send out package promos.

Tremblant had a show special for golf, not a stay and play but $158 for 2 rounds which is pretty good. Only Diable will be open again this year though, and it wasn't in the best shape last year (got better later in the year).
And not between Ottawa and Montreal but Smugglers Glen ( near Gananoque) had some golf and show specials as well.I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I think closed more from a demand and cost perspective last year. I'm a bit surprised this year that they didn't open but perhaps they have run the numbers and realized it's cheaper to keep it closed. While demand is up most places, without all the tourists in Tremblant, and with the other courses perhaps this makes the most sense. I wasn't aware of any renos, do you know that for a fact or just guessing?

It was just a guess. I did hear that some of the hillier holes had suffered damage last winter but again these are just rumours.

I have played Diable 4 times in the last 5 years and it has only been in really decent shape once. I find that La Bete is always in great shape and a bit cheaper than the Tremblant group of courses.
