ClubEG Query
I'm sure there are a number of ClubEG members here and I was wondering how last summer was for tee time availability given that every course seemed full all the time
cheers

Not the best, almost impossible to get on at Equinelle--let alone booking a foursome. Higher end courses for a twosome not bad. Out of town not much of an issue. With Stonebridge gone and Canadian only taking 30/40/50 (no membership) packs , personally I think it will be a tough go. Depending on the number of games you play it may be a toss up. The courses may up their prices to cover losses and some may not even go with the golf discounters. In the fine print of the advertising you may notice "courses selections may vary at any time" I have a sneaky feeling that it MAY not be as bad as last year but that is the chance you take. After 18 years with 2 organizations I have decided to pay full pop and forget the hassel and stress of double booking and double checking weather etc. Mind you if you are playing mostly as a single and you not concerned about t-times-----you can save a bundle. JMHO
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

I agree with big mac, it was difficult to get a spot on the popular courses.

I agree with the 2 posts above. Higher end courses were nearly impossible to get on last summer. Not simply because of limited tee times for discount golfers but because most of the members of the golf discount organizations had to outwit each other to have access to the limited spots to higher end courses. For example, it was not uncommon for spots that were available to book with EG at 7am on Monday am to be gone by 7:02am or in the middle of trying to reserve a spot. Even spots at middle tiered courses on EG were tough to reserve. That being said if you live outside of the city and a local course is on club EG (with the exception of Equinelle) you can save lots of money if you only play that course.
EG is also a good option if you don’t mind playing your golf in late afternoon/evenings in the summer (off peak hours).
