Calabogie or Pakenham?
Hi,
going to take off and play golf and grab hotel somewhere about 1 to 1.5 hour drive.
The 2 courses i see are Calabogie and Pakenham. Has anyone played here and can give some info? Are the Hotels nice?
My girlfriend is going and she shoots about 135-145, will any of these courses care if shes a little slower?
If we make a tee off for 2 people will they join you up with 2 people? Some courses don't and some do. Wondering about this because there is nothing worse to ruin your golf day by getting joined up with 2 grumpy assholes.
Or if anyone knows any nice courses around 1-1.5 hours from Ottawa and the hotels are nicely prices ( sucks to be a broke student) let me know. We are going on Tuesday so hopefully get some feedback today!
Thanks guys
Dustin

Calabogie has wonderful stay and play lodging (jacuzi the whole 9 yards - she'd love it). At Pakenham any lodging you get is independent of the course.
If they put a pair with you has more to do with how busy it is than anything else. Sometimes being paired with some nice folks can make your day too.

Calabogie is fairly quiet most weekdays if there are no tournaments running. It's very unlikely you'll get paired with another couple. You may want to consider playing the executive course for your girl friend's sake.

2 tee of times for Calabogie for the next 2 days. I'm thinking the best part may be the Jacuzzi in the room .
See you guys in 2 days.
