Anybody have any definite dates when any of our area courses may be shutting down?

Most won't start closing until the end of Oct. With Oct 31 falling on a Saturday this year I'd say you'll start to see closings starting Nov 1.

Forecast calls for a longer fall this year so here hoping that most won't close until end of November but we all know, by the end of October, it's all she wrote

Weather Network is still showing double digit highs right up to Halloween so unless we see a sudden and dramatic temperature drop after that, we should hopefully see the courses remain open for the first half of November.

Last year I played my last round at Kingsway november 16Th if i remember well. Played with former deputy Lawrence Cannon just by coincidence.Hope to play as long this year.

Might need the long johns and golf mitts, but at least we are golfing. Fingers crossed for decent weather.

Luc, it was 2005 for us. I remember well as my mom passed away in 2006. We also played Jan 4-5 or 6th at les Vieux Moulins in 2006. I think you where there also. Either way buddy, fun times.

Actually played in Feb. a few years back at Buckingham wearing snow shoes and hitting a tennis ball with a 9 wood. !!! Got a video of my wife "slicing" the ball and almost hitting me.LOL Good times. Will see if i can find a picture of us.

we used that set-up last year on the Meadows men's night closing day. It was a godsend and amazing how well that set-up works to keep you warm

Just checked the weather forecast for the next 14 days and it looks like we're going to be getting near double-digit temps right into the second weekend of November. Between 8-10 highs and overnight lows of 2-4.

Hopefully the courses are paying attention and will remain open because there seems to be some decent golf left to play! With the late start, might as well keep the doors open until it snows.

Played Smuggler's Glen yesterday. They say they expect good weather for at least the next two weeks so they will stay open until the snow comes. Temps along the St. Laurence are a few degrees higher than the Ottawa area.
