They had me locked in after last week , not so much now. Only really good thing was pace of play , 3:45 four players riding. Greens are in good shape but still on the slow side

Most courses in Ottawa need some rain. With this current heat wave, soon we will be playing on dirt fairways. At Champlain, pretty much all fairways are completely scorched. Greens and tee boxes are still decent though.

Mapleview is dealing with this heat pretty well, still has decent fairways and the greens are rolling well. Rain would be a good thing though.

Agreed. Metcalfe is holding up because they have been watering like crazy, but there are some scorched areas on the original course.

Brockville CC yesterday was very green. They must be watering like crazy. Rough was thick and punishing. course is in great shape.

eQuinelle is absolutely mint. Greens, fairways, tee boxes are about as good as it gets.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

So far three local courses have been ranked in Score Golf’s top 100 courses this year. Eagle Creek, Camelot and Royal Ottawa are all on the list. Updates are being posted three times a week as they count down to number one.

Certainly a notch above the other public courses locally. Nowhere near as good as it gets, but definitely really good among the local competition.

I played Camelot most recently last year and I could see how the course would leave the player with either a really good or really bad impression. The back nine is basically unwalkable. Some of the holes are really strong and others leave you scratching your head. Course conditions last year weren’t great. I’m actually shocked it’s considered a top 100 course in Canada, mind you it’s 5 times better then eagle creek

Played Casselview today everything you should be playing on was perfect great greens---green lush fairways--- bunkers all smooth mowed under 75% of the trees -- 10 minute t-times well organized. Missed the "old fart" price which is Monday and Tuesday but what the hell---- 67.00 with your own cart at 11 am Kudos to the management
    Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

You can always go for a dip in a pond if it gets too hot

Although it isn’t an Ottawa course, Black Bear Ridge is still within 2 hours and has seen a nice jump this year into the top 60. This is a fantastic course that combines great conditions with a really fun/challenging layout. I would highly recommend playing if you haven’t already

You are not wrong about Rivermead being better than Camelot. Camelot is on the list because it is designed by McBroom. All the back nine is missing are a few windmills.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!
