Has Champlain been bought by Cartier??
There have been rumours around that the Chateau Cartier course has bought the Champlain golf course. Is it actually true or just a rumour?? Would be good if true as some money might be put into the drainage problems at Champlain.
Cheers and stay safe

There was a rumour going around that they might be managing it but cant confirm. Dont think no one can buy Champlain as i think its NCC land. Maybe somebody in the know can chime in.

Thanks Marcos, Yes, the NCC own the property, I remember making sure they saw the terrible conditions a few years back, suggesting they put canoes at certain places so we could cross the fairways. Always hoping someone would put some money into the course.

Champlain would be an incredible course if the conditions where better. Its just a beautiful course to walk, great big trees, long from the tips for those who still play there.lol.Good layout.

Cartier can't even take care of their own drainage problems. No argument regarding the course itself but it seems the last few years the management has let it fall into disrepair and put in the lowest possible maintenance resembling Vieux Moulins. It's a shame

He also kicked out a jogger and a man and his dog. And also another guy who was fishing in the pond between the 13th and 14th

Its never great in the spring, terrible drainage and prone to so much water from the river. Those holes on the south side of lower Aylmer rd are really not playable for the 1st month of the year.

I have been taking a few walks along the cart path along with many others,no signs anywhere warning people to stay away..but number 5 and 6 greens have been tarped for at least 2 weeks and took a peek under the tarp on 6 and looking very good..actually looks like a green and not a sandpit..now keeping the geese off is another story
