Doug Ford made a boo-hoo seeing his daughters/family at the cottage, unless he is loosening the restriction a lots more for park/facility access, he won't make another move resulting in bad optic. He might back down and goes the other way - not open until June.
    Cross our fingers I guess.

More than half the cases are in Montreal, the regions are doing fine, Outaouais is one of the lowest in cases, about 130 active cases, 8 deaths.

There's also some early data suggesting kids may not actually be passing the virus to adults, which would be amazing if true. We seem to know that kids areless likely to catch it.

Moreover, as long as the kids are isolating from elderly and people with pre-existing conditions, it's fine. Young, healthy people are not dying from this and will definitely catch it as we open up. Just have to protect those whose bodies aren't going to fare well against the virus.

On a mental note, ability to get outdoors and have some fun (golf or otherwise) will likely cheer up a lot of people.

I'm sure many of the guidelines will be left up to the courses, thus might see some differences between their protocols. Many courses have already been outlining how they're going to proceed/open. Pineview bookings are 10 minute tee times.

Possible that the online tee time system is waiting for golf clubs to give them an update on their tee time schedule (since you say they are turned off), and they temporarily have all been preset to 15 minutes gap.

I did not try to book a tee time at those two courses to check, because i would have to delete the tee times i have made via system at EL.

Probably was not a good source to check...

Just booked my Tee Time at Emerald Links for Sunday.
So excited to play outside instead of on simulator.

Now I have to debate if I also want to book for Saturday...

I've seen the plans to ease travel restrictions May 4,11 and 18 but the Ottawa-Gatineau piece has remained as an "indefinite" measure in everything I've seen in the news so far.
Would love some good news here!

    Morning Adam,
    https://www.quebec.ca/en/health/heal...related-pause/

Withdrawal of checkpoints in the regions
The government announced a plan go gradually reopen the regions spread over several weeks.

They will make an announcement around May 18th or later so there is hope for you:

A reopening plan will be announced later for the following regions and territories:
    Gatineau (for travel from Ottawa to Gatineau);

So will everyone head off to tee up before any range warm up? Ranges will not open before the actual course and we must be all kind of stiff, hate to tee up and hope for the best, for myself I think couple of days on the range first will for me be the way to go..

Agree there. With no warm ups and large gaps between tee times, there may be a need for extra balls in the bag for mulligans.

I often hit balls at Champlain since you hit off grass but they are not marked off with distinct stations. I'll be curious to see how it's set up and the maximum number of people that will be allowed. With the nice weather predicted for next week, I'm sure things will be hopping.
