Hey, hope everyone is having a great season, most places should be in their peak conditions at this point in the year.

For after work rounds of golf, does anyone have recommendations for places?

I know Chateau Cartier is $20 after 6, same with Champlain, but those course get old quick and Cartier is in really rough shape on the holes near the water.

I would be very afraid of twilight golf at Loch March considering their mosquito issue. Love the course, but that might be the worst time of day to play there.

Buckingham 18$ after 5pm

After 5pm it is just $25 to play the Championship course and $20 for the Executive at Pine View.

If you are in the west end, after 3pm at Stittsville Golf Course (formerly Glen Mar) it is just $25 to walk or $35 to ride.

Spackler....you are so right....played Loch March today at 4:00....great price....great conditions....but the mosquitos were absolutely brutal...it was virtually impossible to address your ball and make a swing without being eaten alive...we even doused ourselves with Muskol but it didn't help.

To be honest it was unenjoyable. I wanted to walk off and get a rain check after 9 holes, but we stuck it out....big mistake.
They have to bring in some more dragon flies or something.

Metcalfe is $20 after 6 pm. Some of the greens are still not in good shape:


Front 9 - #1 is good, #2 is bad, #3 is so-so, #4 is bad, #5 is so-so, # 6 is good, #7 is so-so, #8 is good, # 9 is bad.
Back 9 - #10 is so-so, #11 is good, # 12 is so-so, #13 is good, # 14 is bad, #15 is good, #16 is good, #17 is good, #18 is good.


At twilight I usually play 1 to 8, then turn right instead of left and play 13 to 18 coming back. That will give you 8 good greens, 3 so-so greens and 3 bad greens. Not bad for $20.
