A lot more yards these days.

Is it just me? Played the Champlain yesterday and my drives were much longer than usual. I ended in places where I had never been before. The fairways are not irrigated and with the little amount of rain we've had lately the course is very dry. Any similar experiences elsewhere?

Played at Talon on monday and did hit one about 300 and a buddy hit it 350 on the 10th hole. One yard inside the 200 marker. Good to have him in a teax scramble.

Even I have been bombing them lately. I think it's about the hot air and the fairways, but the greens are holding! I like it!

I agree, I played in a sramble event a few weeks ago and bombed one 340 yards on #13 (par 5) at Cascades, 6 iron to the green (from about 200 yards), and we all missed the eagle putt!

The ball has been travelling like silly. Too bad the greens don't hold though. Played Larrimac last week and with the tiny greens there I had to resort to a bump and run style (which I hate).

...it is the hot air, and it's not even an election year... or must be something in the hot dogs

Outaouaise last monday, Hole #2 215 yards, with 4 iron... I rarely hit that long with fairway wood..

    18th Perth Links Otay

I realize it's a downhill hole but still. Drove the green from the blues 380 yards. Missed the eag though.

Hit a 5 iron at Manderley Central 8 on MOnday (short par 4 /293 yds.) HAd about a 50 yd. wedge in for second. Lots of distance and roll on that hole for sure.
