    Golf club refinishing

    Hey All,

I have some Callaway MD3 wedges I need refinishing, the black finish is fading and the wedges are actually starting to rust. I'm pretty obsessive about keeping my clubs clean and well taken care of so this is a surprise. Does anyone know where I could get my wedges cleaned up and maybe painted in Ottawa? i was hoping to get a matte black oxide finish if possible.

    Thanks

I am abidextrous, I once golfed right-handed and now I shoot left-handed just as badly!

I came by over my buddy's garage to give him a hand installing the new rack, snap tonneau cover and rails for kayak mount on his truck. He showed me his dad's old golf stuff that seems only need some TLC. Refinishing seems the best idea to get them into good shape.

Don at artisan golf refinished my 4 and 7 wood a couple of weeks back and did a great job...really happy with it. It's a new area he's expanding into.

well i decided to refinish myself. hand sanded down to metal ... taped over faces and what i wanted to protect ... 2 coats spray primer ... 3 coats spray semi-gloss paint ... 4 coats clear coat ... appropriate drying/hardening times ... used heat gun as well to harden some layers ... job looks great club soles will definitely lose paint with usage but crowns look phenomenal compared to all the scratches and rubs. should have taken before pictures .. damn !! gotta use head covers more now to protect the finish. new clubs for next season cost me a can of rustoleum primer, can of rustoleum semi-gloss black (could be any color), rustoleum clear coat, some 80 and 1200 grit sanding pads, and a couple weeks time to do 1 driver, 2 fwy woods and 2 sets (7) hybrids. fun project see how long it lasts

Sounds great! Even without the before pics, can you share some of the "afters", Bob?

pic 5 >> titleist driver crown only ... sole not painted ... maybe i'll do it
