callaway cf16
Callaway cf 16 with regular F3 recoil shafts. Would like to trade them for same irons but with xp95 regular steel shaft. Regular loft, lie angle on them. Having trouble getting used to the graphite shaft, so going back to steel shafts. Will only trade for same conditions irons, if not possible I will put xp 95 shafts that I already have. Maybe 20 rounds on them.
thanks

I had the same problem with those F3 shafts and went back to KBS Tour, not sure what it is but I just seemed to be inconsistent with them. Also too high a launch for me

Launch is fine with me but inconsistent. Will check the swing weight today at a friend who change shafts all the time. Was used to a D2/D3 & think those are D0. If that is the case my friend will bring it to my prefered number and see what happens. If that does not work I will put the xp shaft in them and see. And if that does not work, will go back to my forged snake eyes which were great but was looking for a bit more distance. LOL

Ya, mine were at D2 and I checked them with my swingweight scale but inconsistency was the problem as well

Mine were on TM RSi 2 irons and the difference is night and day. More consistent, better feel but then again the KBS are a good shaft for my swing

Should have mentioned or did I , was looking for more height not distance. Not that distance is not important but having that 10 yards in between club and distance control is more important. Also have a set of Ping i200 that I might give them a chance but they were also at C9. I just felt that the cf16 when hit well were going high and longer. Still keeping my handicap at the same number but have to work a bit harder at it.

That is similar to what I experienced, I was hitting higher than normal with those shafts (I already have good height on my iron shots) and when they were hit well they went like stink. As for your i200s, pretty sure they are as strong lofted as the CF16s. Perhaps a softer tip lower kick point shaft would be of benefit.

My friend had put a nippon zelos 7 on my #7 snake eyes irons and great launch and very consistent. I will try the xp 95 on the same iron and see.
Going golfing at Rockland(outaouais)
Thanks for the replies

I found that a fitting helped me out tremendously, Les at Maxxfit (downhillslider) set my irons/shafts up for me and it made all the difference for me after I switched out the shafts. He checked lies, loft, length and adjusted them to the specs he had for me. You would be surprised at the variation from standard you can get from a set of irons and you would never know unless you had them checked out.

I had inconsistency issues with distances with my CF16's. I put Nippon Modus 130's in and the problem was solved.

Finally put the xp95 shafts on them and after a few rounds major improvement with the steel shafts compared to the recoil. Recoil are not for me. Will post to sell those recoils
