    Fitting clubs: newbie

I bought a standard lie set of clubs (Ping) and want to know if they can me modified after a fitting session which will provide me with the correct specs (length/lie) for my body and ability. Or do they have to be ordered new from the specs provided?

Should be able to bend them a couple of degrees. Your best bet is to go to Artisian golf in your area of town. The club maker there is one of the best.

    club fitting

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that you can only get clubs adjusted if they have a forged head. A cast club would break if they tried to bend or manipulate it too much.
Does ping even make a cast heah? not sure.

If they can be bent, there are alot of places that can do it for you. Chuck Browns, Golf Town and T&L have the tools.

    bending

You can have your clubs adjusted no matter if they are forged or cast. I had a set of cast irons at the start of last year and golfworks had them bent 1* upright.
    Thanks

Cast clubs can be bent. But only a degree or two and usually only once or twice. Whereas some forged clubs can be bent up to 4* because of the softer metal. As for Ping, as far as I know all of Ping's irons are cast, that is why they offer such an indepth fitting process.

Yup you're wrong pings can be adjusted quite a bit. Even though pings are cast the actual metal is quite soft. Email ping for details.

    Pings

Depends on the model. It took me a while to find it but here it is.

my g2s where white dot when I bought them on ebay and I had them bent all the way down to black (4 degrees) so its not a problem. All you have to do is take it to golfotwn, give them $20 to cover only the shipping and they will send it to PING and have it sent back and then you pick it up. They will even fit you at golftown to tell you what color dot you are
