Arranging Groups
Is there any software or formula out there or does anyone have any experience with managing groups like this.
We have a weekend trip with 16 guys, playing 4 rounds. Some guys don't know everyone and most guys haven't seen some of the other guys in a year or more. I want to arrange the tee off groups so each guy plays with 3 new guys each round and doesn't play with the same guy at all if at all possible.
Suggestions.

Bored at work seemed like an interesting math-ish challenge... using #s instead of names with foresomes horizontal

Round 2

3.7.11.15
4.8.12.16
Round 3
1.6.11.16
2.7.12.15
3.8.13.5
4.9.14.10

I think that's right... I'm sure there is a more elegant solution out there though.

Nah its wrong... 6 and 1 as well as 15 and 12 play together 2x. i think everything else works. I'm sure there is a way though.

Definitely a math challenge that I can't figure out. Bodey is right plus 10 plays with 4, 9 an 14 twice. 8 plays with 3 and 5 twice etc. Same issues I come up with. Gotta be a way with 16 guys but I can't find it.

Lordy---what happens if one guy has to drop out ??? Nope, I'm not on the course today
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?
