Golf coach
I was wondering if anybody know of any good LEFT handed golf coaches in the Ottawa area?
Thanx

Bob Flaro - Head Professional at Cornwall Golf and
Eric Laframboise - former Assistant Professional at Greyhawk
are the only C.P.G.A. Ottawa zone left handed player I can think of.
I know many other good golf coaches in the Ottawa area, but never thought about asking them if they were left or right handed.

interesting thought....
Hey Gary,
Kewl info.
Is there any place we can see a list of all the Ottawa area pros/teachers. Maybe even compare fees, or specialties, or commentary on them.
I remember reading (Flagstick I think) the Kevin Haime won an award for teacher of the year, which is good, but that also makes him more expensive too.

I don't know of any public list of Ottawa area pros.
You may want inquire at: The Official Ottawa PGA Website
I am not aware of any great discrepancy in fees, specialties, or competance.
BTW- Kevin Haime has increased his fees slightly from last year, but I have been assured this is unrelated to being named Teacher of the Year.

hmmmmmmmm....
Thanx Gary
Somehow, I never expected there to be a PGA site for Ottawa Area pros.
Hey, Dan... is there any reason why you left this site off your list of links?
Dan/Gary.... are there any more kewl Ottawa golf links that aren't included in the Links page of this site? I'm always interested in exploring Ottawa golf, even if I can't do it with clubs in hand.

Gary,
I went to the Ottawa PGA site that you had refered me to, wrote them an E-MAil. I got e reply from a local CPGA pro(who will remain nameless), he told me(actually insisted) that there is no difference between a left handed teaching pro and a right handed one. I sent him back another E-Mail asking him which side of the ball he plays from. I also mentioned that I would rather take lessons from a pro that plays fro the same side of the ball as I do(this may sound weird but....) I never got a response from the pro!!( I guess he is a righty!!!???)

If I want a teacher who has one eye and a limp, they should at least make an effort to help me find one.

The C.P.G.A. Ottawa zone captain has provided me with the names of two other left handed full time teaching professionals.
John Olson - Barhaven Driving Range
J.R. Bergevin - Embrum Driving Range
You might also try Jean Pilon, Head Professional at Gatineau Golf Club and long time left handed teacher and player. He switched to right hand play only last year.
Eric Laframboise is now teaching at Mont Tremblant.
P.S. I am in still in the process of resolving the communications snafu.

Is Danny Lascombe still at the Dome? He's a lefty.
By the way, an opposite teacher can be good. Taking lessons while he stands across from you, acting like a mirror, I thought that was advantageous.
