Low cost course suggestions
Wondering if anybody has any sugestions for low cost courses, ideally in the western area of Ottawa. I'm not to fussy about the club house and 'manicure' conditions.
Cheers,

Not sure where you are in the west end or your age or whether you are looking at weekday or weekend, but you could check all courses for a senior special day; or a day or week or time of day specials; you can check on Golf18 or Golf Now for their daily specials, you can check for Groupon (Ottawa and Gatineau) which have specials; or you could play courses like Champions Nest which has a weekday rate walking of $25 ($30 on weekend). Champions Nest is just east of Bank Street, north of Metcalfe. There are not as many "deals" as there were a few years ago, but they are out there. You just have to be creative in looking for them.

In my opinion, the best value and course in the west 'area' is at Mississippi near Carleton Place, especially after 3:00 pm; then, The Canadian has great afternoon deals just past Stitsville, and at Mountain Creek a little further out has always been good value (near Arnprior).

West end courses Copperdale and Riverbend are both very low cost 18 hole courses. In Kemptville Rideau Glen. You won't find any lower prices in the city.
