M2 vs F6
I'm looking at purchasing a new Driver.
I've always been a Taylormade guy.
I have played the Cobra Flyz and preferred it over my SLDR.
Now, I'm undecided whether to buy an M2 or a Cobra F6.
I find the Cobras very forgiving and nice to hit.
The Taylormade Drivers are distance machines but can be all over the place.
Anyone have any comments on these Drivers?
Anyone used both?
I guess the same question can be asked of the fairways and Hybrids.

I know its not on your list, but I switched to a Ping last year (from Taylormade) and loved it. Although I was going from an R9 supertri to the Ping G30.
I hit them all (M1, M2, G30, Cobras and one of the titlest), but the Ping was the most consistent for me.
Haven't hit the fairways or hybrids though.

I tried both quite a bit, and the Cobra definitely had more pull tendency for me, less distance, and not as solid a feel as the M2. The only two drivers that beat out the M2 for me were the Ping G30 LS Tec (with the marginally better Ping Tour shaft) and the Callaway XR Pro 16 with the Fuji Speeder Evo II. I hit them indoors, so that will impact the feel (which is the sound), and the Cobra has a different, hollow sound, whereas the M2 is a more solid crack. Comparatively, the M2 with the Kuro Kage was a bomber, but not as tight on dispersion as the Ping. The Callaway is as long if not longer than the M2, but slightly tighter - just not quite as forgiving as the Ping for my swing. The Cobra falls behind all three for me.

I have the regular Ping G30 (for sure) with the tour shaft (I think). As a lefty they don't always have all the models in stock to try. Wasn't actually able to try all the different iterations of the head. The regular one worked well for me.

I didn't try that combo - the stock Ping shaft and that head would be a monster hook with my swing habits.

The big ugly hook shows up sometimes still, but that's a function of my golf ability not the club construction in my opinion.

I agree - mine too. That said, a set-up that helps fight it off makes rounds more enjoyable. If I had time, I'd get some lessons to work that out, but I can't look down at anything closed or offset and think anything other than hook thoughts ;-)
