Anderson Links??
Does anyone have any news on Anderson Links? I haven't been by in a while & was wondering if construction has started.

I was out there about a month ago and there was work going on. Seemed like they were leveling the ground.

O.K. I took a drive out there yesterday and found nothing has been done, I guess Gib has his hands full trying to get Emerald Links back into shape (East-West) before he starts to dump any money Anderson's way! Even if they were to start-up construction today it wouldn't be ready for at least 3 years.

Drove by the course yesterday and there seems to be some progress. I read the Notice of Appeal sign and they are building 36 holes, a par 3 course, driving range, dome, batting cage and mini putt. That is going to be one busy place!

The batting cage is the one they pulled out of the Airport driving range, barely anyone used it there, I'm sure it will get less use at it's new location! The notice of application has been up for about 2 years now, I think the activity you see out in the fields are the local farmers harvesting the hay!!!

Anderson Links.... update???
I heard from someone that this course is scheduled to open in a couple of weeks. Anyone hear anything? Is it just 9 or is the course complete?
I also heard they are having some pretty good deals when they first open. This was from someone that plays Emerald links all the time so I guess he got the info there.

OK guys--how many courses are actually being built--we drove by the construction on Anderson rd--what course is that --they already have the clubhouse underway and it looks like a driving range with lights---I was under the impression this was a "links" course---where is the other site?

First 9 is to open July 1 (last word I heard), 2nd 9 in the fall (I believe). 36 holes are planned for the site. The scorecard for the first 18 is on the Anderson Links website www.andersonlinks.com along with some pics.

The scorecard shows 700 yards difference between white and blue. I was thinking the whites were a bit short at 6038, but the 6752 from the blues would be challenging.

Just called Cloverdale, they said it will open sometime in August for "limited play".

Played Emerald Links Yesterday and asked when they expect to have the first nine open at Anderson and the guy in the Pro Shop Said probably not September due to permit issues.

9 this season...
I drive by there everyday to go home. The clubhouse has been under construction since the winter or last fall. It has been erect for sometime but i don't know the progress I could just be missing siding or could be missing the inside. The course (or atleast parts of it) was done being leveled and shaped this spring and has grown in pretty nicely. If you drive by the space directly beside 8th line is not the course, it is behind the tree line which used to be a railroad track. Can't wait till it opens, sounds like a great facility to live close to . I spoke with someone who knows gib earlier this year and he said they expect 9 this season. Hope all goes well.

Anderson
The course is ready to go. Finishing touches being made.
It will not open to the public(hint) until next spring.
There is a lot of talk about possible preview play for sister course members in Sept/Oct.
